New To Modding Need a list of the programs to use

Hey all new to modding as only previous modding ever done was for the old TA and it was only unit stats and weapon changes
Any way find my self with alot of free time and thought would be good to create a mod for forged alliance so was wondering if any one could help me out and let me know what programs I will need in order to get started
thanxs for your time|||Actuall modding is done with a text editor. Notepad will do fine, but most people prefer something with a little more grunt like Crimson Editor.
If you want to make models, then at some point you'll likely need 3DS Max to export your work to the format SupCom uses.
You'll probably want to find Exavier Macbeth's modding tutorial. It goes through all the basics and some of the intermediate stuff. Everyone seems to cut their teeth with that (I did).|||cheers mate will have a look for the programs and guide|||If you're looking for free software Blender can do modeling stuff too, there's an exporter for Sup Com. For Texturing work "Gimp" is pretty good, it's like Photoshop but free.|||no prob will dig out what I can find
thanxs all will let yous know how it goes
