[REL] Sentina, [REL] Sentina II *NEW*

This is the final release of my new map.



It's a 10km² for 8 players,

dynamic resource allocation,

ai markers,

much mass at center,

can be played 1v1 2v2 3v3 4v4 or what ever.



description: "The Seraphim created this peculiar place on a planet called Sentina which was used to determine their best commander for the invasion on earth. They used QNTF (Quantum-nano Terraforming) to create a nearly perfect symetrical battleground to provide a fair match. Now 3 years after the war was over a Cybran Probe found this planet with its single island on it and they also scanned a signature of an UEF commander. They decided to use it for tournaments. May the battle begin!",

Mez|||it's a brilliantly fun map (i downloaded it a few days ago on the Vault), but could you edit your post and use smaller pictures please?|||Ohhhh, pretty. Looks like my type of map!|||BulletMagnet|||excellent, thanks.|||Wonderful map, but it causes errors with shields and can break some mod scripts too somehow. I think you may have an error in your map script that handles starting mexes.|||Mooilo|||Just played a game against Sorian AI v2.0. Great map. Just needs AI markers.|||Mezmerize|||It has no FA AI markers, just has the standard ones that the map editor can put on the map.|||actually the standard ones worked awesome as markers until u put real markers .on my maps. thick stripe worked wery well with and without markers (espicially duncanes swarm ai)|||If you want I can add fa ai markers but i dont see any benefits on this map.

Because there're no complicated waypoints that ai cant handle.|||Mezmerize|||slinki|||Mezmerize|||Yes I did make one with AI markers, but all I done was placed them and tested it. If Mezmerize wants a copy I can send him one.

Changes:

Added crazy mass at center again (some guys may don't like it but idc),

6 new islands with 2 mexes on each,

open mountais - better access to the sea,

Deaper water so megabot, Gc and yotha cant pwn navals anymore,

no flatt water at the center beach anymore (good for ambushes),

FAI makers,

Bots gone wild on this map,

Better Performance less Decals more Props,

now the map looks lesser like a penis or Dogbone?! Some guys asserted it,

I played 2 3vs3 yesterday and... it's fun but very tough too. (i lost both games)

The front is no kindergarten.

Altogether it's more difficult then Sentina 1 but also much more fun and Naval is pretty useful now.

Newcomer should play without air.



Mez|||On vault there is a map Sentina III. Is there a changelog available between II and III?|||Nope, there's no changelog for Sentina III. Basicly it's a test map... I would see how naval works on this map if i remove the hills below to make water more accessible.



I'll update the changelog in the readme file in the next patch.|||I'll just want to point out why this is the best map for 4v4 team games (even better than icelands/badlands):

  • fast paced, matches don't take longer than 20minutes usually (unlike setons)
  • hero rush: intense teamwork right from the beginning with all commanders at mid, using wide range of approaches due to available mass (team cmdr upgrade, team PDs, artillery rush) - no other map provides that
  • harassing: nevertheless still variable tactics can be successful e.g. sneak with cmdr in water to enemy bases from back, destroy Hydros & seek recover in water when harassing
