After a week of trying to get the official editor to work, I just downloaded HazardX's editor. I quickly threw a couple start locations and mass/hydrocarbon points on the map and saved it to see if it would work. The map opens just fine in vanilla SupCom, but it isn't listed in FA. I even copied it from the SupremeCommander/Maps folder to the Supreme Commander - Forged Alliance/Maps folder, but it's still not there.
Any help?|||I have no experience with HazardX's editor but it might be that you've got something wrong with the startup script of the map, which may be accepted in Vanilla, but not in FA.
THe only way I can help you is by getting the official editor to work. Do you get any error messages on that? And which version did you download, you'll need v4.|||I have v4, and I'm getting an error about mohoengine.dll. I read on here somewhere that you can copy that from the forged alliance to the supreme commander folder, which I did, but it I still get the error.
I even tried re-installing supcom, but that didn't work. (oh, and I found out I lost the FA cd key, so I had to reinstall by taking it out of the recycle bin... stupid me)|||mohoengine.dll error occurs when you've downloaded the Editor from the FA Vault. Download the Editor only when you are logged in with Supreme Commander, not Forged Alliance.
You don't have to re-install the game. Delete the editor using The Vault, and then download it from the Supreme Commander Vault.|||I did. I don't know if it matters or not, but every time I launch GPGnet I have to tell it where SupremeCommander exe is located.
The reason I had to reinstall the game is because when I moved mohoengine.dll the first time I messed something up and both games, vanilla and FA, started crashing on startup
