I have decided after thinking about it, that I am not creating any more maps for SupCom/FA.
I have well over 30 maps all over the internet, and most of them are in the vault. Though many of those have no markers, other than the most recent maps I made. So if you have my maps, don't download the ones from the vault, and think they are better.

im sorry to see you go but im glad you can help people with markers and other stuff|||30 maps! Kudos DF, I made maybe 10 or something. :)
Hope you found a new game that interests you. I might take a look at Demigod and SupCom 2 mapping and maybe we can join forces on a map again, that was fun. We will probably have to kidnap a 3D artist though... :)

But some players can't see a good map, even if it bashed them around. I have been putting a lot of effort on my maps, and all I get in return, are players knocking them down.
Some of my new maps, have only 2 out of 5 in the vault. It hurts when you put a week or more into a map, and only get players knock your maps as if they are made by a noob. Yet many of the popular maps are in truth made by noobs.
So many maps, yet most of them are not even being downloaded anymore, so I decided what is the point to all the trouble I go through.|||ya i only made five maps. 2 dont work and i need a question answered so i can make them work|||Then go ahead and ask Hyp, now is the time! :)
Its sad to see you stop mapping because I know how much you enjoy it but I can understand why. I quit mapping for pretty much the same reasons as you DF and because I felt I had pretty much done anything the engine lets you do (within a reasonable amount of time).

how do i define an area?|||Open the layer areas, click on the small button in the lower left corner of the area properties. Click on the 0,0,0,0 twice and enter the coordinates you want (like 0,0,512,512).|||Goddammit, Dragon Fly.

I've never again released one of the other maps sitting on my HD (which would need considerable effort to get into a releasable state).|||This thread actually made me dig around to find all of DF's maps. after I released the beta of my new map "Mezmerizing Paradise" I get 6x 5* and 3x 1* WTF?! And like no helpfully comments (only 1) for emprovements. Cant they read that it's a "beta" just raiting wont help really... i think only 5% of the supcom players read this forum and the rest... dunno. Its really sad Supcom is an amazing game.|||Argonath|||I thought the CEP was going to help revitalize SC mapping, but unfortunately the official patch delays meant it was put on indefinate hold and eventually pieces were released separately. Boo.
